Professional Minds is a South African based company providing Professional and upmarket academic conferences and events to paediatric professionals.
All events are CPD & SACE accredited with the Health and Allied Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and (AHPCSA), aswell as the South African Council for Educators (SACE).
Events are specialised and high end, uplifting, and inspiring, and are reflective of the value, appreciation and respect held for all Paediatric Professionals.

Professional Minds was started in 2009 by two sisters, Gabi Medalie and Haley Rogoff, both Paediatric Occupational Therapists by profession, who saw the need for upmarket, high quality and specialised Education and Training opportunities for paediatric professionals.
Their aim was to inspire and enable Paediatric Health Professionals to develop themselves professionally, to keep abreast of world trends and standards, and to take their place in the world as top professionals in their respective fields.
With a vision of excellence and desire to uplift and inspire, the first live conference was run in Johannesburg in March 2010, and due to an increasing demand for Professional Minds events, they immediately expanded into other provinces across South Africa. Professionals travelled from around the globe to attend the conferences and Professional Minds instantly became known as a leading provider in high end academic conferences for the paediatric professional.
Several Professional Minds live conferences have been run annually since 2010, with thousands of loyal followers.
In 2020, after covid struck, virtual events, webinars and other learning opportunities were offered online and Professional Minds expanded into the cyber space.
Professional Minds has built a reputation, synonymous with excellence and quality, and are known for offering events and conferences which not only stimulate the mind academically, but also nourish the soul, reenergising, uplifting and inspiring their delegates.
Haley Rogoff
(Co-CEO and Co-founder)
Haley is a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, who is passionate about helping others to be the best that they can be.
She has always loved working with children and over the past 18 years has developed her expertise in understanding and working with children with Special Educational Needs and in helping them to find and reach their true potential.
Haley has worked abroad in London and locally in South Africa. In addition to her work as a Private Practitioner, Haley was the co-founder of Cognitive Learning and Support Services (CLASS), a company developed to offer support, guidance and input to Educators, Parents and Children who learn differently. Between 2003 and 2012, Haley ran 4 Private Paediatric OT practices, at Schools around Cape Town.
In 2010, Gabi and Haley founded Professional Minds. Haley has loved the opportunity to combine her clinical experience and passion, with professional training and development and she is passionate and committed to going the extra mile to ensure that Paediatric Professionals are offered the highest quality, valued and most up- to-date Continued Professional Development (CPD) opportunities.
Haley lives in Cape Town with her husband and 2 beautiful children, and thinks that being a mum is by far the most demanding, challenging, rewarding and wonderful full-time job of all.

Gabi Medalie
(Co-CEO and Co-founder)
Gabi is a qualified occupational therapist. After completing her Bsc (OT) at the University of Cape Town in 2005, she relocated to JHB to complete her community service, after which she began her career in Paediatric Occupational Therapy.
Gabi worked in private practice, following her passion to help children with barriers to learning. Gabi loved her work with children, particularly the more challenging children, and believes that the key to her success with helping children, was to begin by helping them to develop their self-esteem so that they had the confidence to challenge themselves, grow and improve their skills.
Gabi’s passion for children and those working with children, together with her entrepreneurial charge and desire for high standards, lead her to follow her next dream in founding Professional Minds, together with her sister and partner Haley Rogoff.
Gabi’s goal is to provide top quality opportunities for paediatric professionals to develop themselves professionally and take their stand as world class professionals. Her goal is for society to acknowledge and appreciate the crucial role that paediatric professionals play in shaping our society and that they will continue to invest in, acknowledge and develop this wonderful group of people!
Gabi is married to Joshua and they have three gorgeous children , Kayla, Micah & Levi
